EMCOR/F&G Mechanical, Tucker Development and Tishman Construction, an AECOM Company, were joined by Mayor Mark Sokolich of Ft. Lee, Richard Sabato, President, Bergen County Building & Construction Trades Council, and many others, who formed a 400+ person Pink Hard Hat Ribbon---a first in New Jersey---on September 30th, a visual kick-off and call to action for EMCOR’s 7th Annual “Protect Yourself. Get Screened Today.” campaign supporting breast cancer awareness month. As part of the event a $100,000 donation was presented to the John Theurer Cancer Center Breast Oncology Division at Hackensack University Medical Center. The event was held at Hudson Lights development in Fort Lee, NJ.

FORT LEE, NEW JERSEY - September 30, 2015EMCOR/F&G Mechanical announced today its employees, along with those of Tishman Construction, an AECOM Company, Tucker Development, and many other participants---400+ in total---donned EMCOR Pink Hard Hats and assembled to form EMCOR’s signature giant human pink ribbon in a “Call to Action” in support of breast cancer awareness as part of the Company’s EMCOR’s 7th Annual “Protect Yourself. Get Screened Today.” campaign.  This was the first-ever Pink Hard Hat Ribbon formed in New Jersey, and the Mayor of Fort Lee, Mark Sokolich, was an integral part of the event, held at the Hudson Lights development in Fort Lee.

A $100,000 check, the result of individual donations and contributions, was presented by EMCOR/F&G Mechanical to the John Theurer Cancer Center Breast Oncology Division at Hackensack University Medical Center. Secretary on the Board of Governors at Hackensack Hospital, Rosemarie Sorce, and Co-Chief, Breast Oncology, Dr. Stanley Waintraub, accepted the check and participated in the event.

Sal Fichera, CEO, and Butch Giardina, President, EMCOR/F&G Mechanical, presented a Pink Hard Hat plaque to Mayor Sokolich, and event partners Jay Badame, President & COO, Tishman Construction, an AECOM Company, and John Donohue, Sr. Vice President, Tucker Development; they also spoke passionately about the support of their companies for breast cancer awareness.  Additionally, Richard Sabato, President, Bergen County Building & Construction Trades Council, spoke and participated in the event, and was also presented a Pink Hard Hat plaque.
